I was lucky enough to start my Jo Malone collection by winning a beauty basket at a charity event. When they announced my name, I screamed and jumped up and down like a fool and every girl that wanted to win the basket told me they wanted to jump me for it. They were joking… I hope. The gift included three things from the Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia collection. The three things were the cologne, body cream, and liquid hand/body soap.
Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia – All you need is one spritz of this because the scent is lovely, although quite overwhelming. I won’t go into detail of how it smells, but in general, it is the perfect combination of fruity and floral. I have gotten many compliments when I wear this scent. It has grown to be my favorite scent of my entire perfume collection. If I ever run out of this scent, I will definitely purchase another bottle.
Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede – I don’t really understand the title of this cologne. I’m not exactly sure what Blush Suede is, but whatever it is, I really enjoy it. This scent is completely feminine, floral and soft. It is not as strong as the English Pear & Freesia, but you still only need one spray for the entire day. I feel that this scent could have leaned more towards an old lady scent, but it just stopped itself to still be classic yet modern.
Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin – This is the most unique scent of the three. I only have a deluxe sample size of this because it came as the gift with purchase (when I bought the Peony & Blush Suede because of @ingridnilsen’s recommendation.) Lime Basil & Mandarin is not a scent I would gravitate towards, probably because the citrus is lime. I always try it over again to see if I like it, but I would never purchase a full size bottle of it. Let’s just say it is interesting to smell, but not to put on the skin (or my skin anyway.)
Because Jo Malone fragrances are meant to be layered, you can mix and match any scents you want. I tend to mix the Peony & Blush Suede with the English Pear & Freesia. I am happy that I lucked out and got the two scents that actually go together and blend well together.
Do you have any Jo Malone scents or combinations you want to share? Leave me a comment down below!
I love winning things.. hah! This looks like a very cool beauty basket. I don’t own any scents from Jo Malone. Maybe I’ll buy something in the future! Lovely review

Lol I think I would have jumped up like a little girl too. It doesn’t matter what I’m winning, it’s the fact that I’ve won. Never tried any of the Jo Malone scents before. In fact i’ve never actually layered scents on top of each other so that’s interested. x

And I never win anything! It was very exciting. You should give them a try or at least get a sample. They are such nice scents! Yes, I thought it was interesting to layer scents too, but if you have a good combo, it’s pretty awesome. Let me know if you ever do get to try Jo Malone!

Wow! So cool that you won! I really want to try something from the brand, but find it so expensive… Maybe when I’ve saved some money 😉

Thanks it felt awesome when I won! I lucked out because it probably would have taken me an even longer time to try and invest in Jo Malone Colognes. They are expensive. You should really get a sample beforehand if you want to see if you like it. They are great!
