Skincare Review: Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer with SPF

Partly Jennifer Aniston’s fault with her lovely commercials, but

I purchased this product because my dermatologist stressed the importance of SPF to me, especially while I was taking certain acne medications. I got this mainly because of @ingridnilsen’s recommendation that this was a nice, lightweight face lotion. At the time of purchase, my skin was in its worst condition (oily with blemishes.) This face moisturizer did not irritate my skin at all. And my skin is very sensitive to new products. Aveeno is gentle and gets the job done. I already have a back up of this product for when I run out soon.

The lotion is white and not greasy when it is on the skin. The scent smells like a typical sunscreen, but it doesn’t bother me because the scent does not linger once it is applied to the face. I layer this SPF lotion on top of my Clinique moisture surge moisturizer. I always use the SPF when I have a no makeup day or when my foundation does not have any SPF in it.

  1. Looks nice but unfortunately it contains chemical sunscreens which I’m sensitive to, but I’m glad it works for you though!
And yes, blame Jen A and her damn radiant skin in those adverts.

  2. I use the same product but in the BB cream form. It is awesome for no makeup days because it just gives the slightest amount of coverage but is as easy to apply as moisturizer! Great post! xx

    • Thank you! One of my IG friends said that that made her break out. I wanted to stay away from it bc we both have very sensitive skin. It’s weird bc she also uses the product in this post and it doesn’t irritate!

  3. Love this! So many lovely products on the market, so little money, too many products I already own and I haven’t reached empty yet. Haha.

    • It’s always good to be protected from the sun. Less wrinkles and less of a chance of skin cancer. Even if your foundation has SPF that’s good, too. The acne products I use are all prescribed by my dermatologist. Most of the ones I have tried from drugstore don’t seem to work on my stubborn skin.
