Skincare Review: Aveeno Smart Essentials SPF

IMG_2302

This is yet again another youtuber:@ingridnilsen inspired purchase. For a while, we had the same skin type and skin problems (oily and acne prone.) I always loved her recommendations as much as she loved them. So I thought why not purchase another SPF as I had run out of my other Aveeno SPF.

Between the two Aveeno Moisturizers there are a few minor differences. The best thing about both Positively Radiant and Smart Essentials is that they have SPF 30, which is good to know to aid in preventing wrinkles. This product helps to keep my skin moisturized and the scent is light and does not irritate my sensitive skin. This moisturizer is oil free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic which is always what I am looking for in skincare products. I have some acne scarring; Applying this before my makeup or worn alone helps those scars to not darken anymore than they should be.

Basically, this is a thumbs up for me! I plan on using this up during the spring/summer months especially.

  1. I love the idea of Aveeno, but I used one of their face moisturizers once (well, I tried it twice) and both times I got horrible cystic acne! LOL I am allergic, I guess. So glad it works for you!

    • Omg Ingrid has the best recommendations for skincare, especially since I’m sensitive. I end up liking the products she recommends. Not lately, but back in the day. She also recommended this version of the Aveeno as well!

      • Lol I was watching her favorites video today and she said the Simple Micellar Water takes off EVERYTHING. And I thought, no way, it does not take off waterproof mascara! It’s hard with the YouTubers nowadays, I’m a little more skeptical. I still love her though 🙂
