This is yet again another youtuber:@ingridnilsen inspired purchase. For a while, we had the same skin type and skin problems (oily and acne prone.) I always loved her recommendations as much as she loved them. So I thought why not purchase another SPF as I had run out of my other Aveeno SPF.
Between the two Aveeno Moisturizers there are a few minor differences. The best thing about both Positively Radiant and Smart Essentials is that they have SPF 30, which is good to know to aid in preventing wrinkles. This product helps to keep my skin moisturized and the scent is light and does not irritate my sensitive skin. This moisturizer is oil free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic which is always what I am looking for in skincare products. I have some acne scarring; Applying this before my makeup or worn alone helps those scars to not darken anymore than they should be.
Basically, this is a thumbs up for me! I plan on using this up during the spring/summer months especially.
Aveeno® Smart Essentials® Daily Nourishing Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30
What is your favorite SPF product?
Hey, is this a face only moisturiser or face and body? Is it expensive? Sorry for a million questions – I’m looking for a high SPF moisturiser that won’t break me out (or break the bank)! xx

No problem. Face, but I have used it for body as well in a pinch. It’s inexpensive. Usually $9.99. I have the link at the bottom that you could check out for more info.

I love the idea of Aveeno, but I used one of their face moisturizers once (well, I tried it twice) and both times I got horrible cystic acne! LOL I am allergic, I guess. So glad it works for you!

Oh no! I wonder what made you break out. I thought they were pretty gentle. Too bad 😦

I mainly stick with physical / mineral sunscreens due to sensitivity but it’s great that affordable SPF is more readily available nowadays!
My current facial sunscreen is Lise Watier SunSmart SPF30:

It not only protects but acts as a makeup base, love it!

It’s Canadian! But it has a good following in the US so they started to ship to US and I think some stores stock it too.

I actually started using the Positively Radiant because of Ingrid too! This one sounds good, I might try it once I run out.

Omg Ingrid has the best recommendations for skincare, especially since I’m sensitive. I end up liking the products she recommends. Not lately, but back in the day. She also recommended this version of the Aveeno as well!

Lol I was watching her favorites video today and she said the Simple Micellar Water takes off EVERYTHING. And I thought, no way, it does not take off waterproof mascara! It’s hard with the YouTubers nowadays, I’m a little more skeptical. I still love her though 🙂

Yes! With all the youtubers getting really famous and mostly sponsored, it’s hard to weed out the honest reviews nowadays.

Good to know. SPFs usually feel thick or make the skin shine too much…

Agreed. I hate when that happens!
