OOTD: What I Wore for Easter + Makeup

IMG_2453

I haven’t done an OOTD post in a while and it only makes sense that I would wear the clothes instead of laying them out. Now that the weather is warming up, it’s easier to take a picture outside without layers of jackets and sweaters.

I paired a floral high waisted skirt with a pink sweater. I could have chosen from any of the colors in the skirt to match. It was still a bit chilly so I wore my fleece lined tights paired with black booties. For accessories, I stuck with simple earrings, a longer drop necklace (purple and pink), and purple, pink and gold bangles. I also wore two rings, one of them on my thumb. To pull the look together, my favorite bag made an appearance.

If there is a link, I will list it:

Sweater – Lacoste | Skirt – American Eagle Outfitters | Tights – Steve Madden | Booties – Lucky Brand | Bag – Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac | Accessories – Macys

Now onto makeup…

Face: I covered any redness with a green concealer. I’ve learned that if a blemish is raised and red, a green concealer helps to lessen the appearance of the bump and cancel out its redness. Less/no concealer is needed. I applied my liquid foundation and concealer.

Eyes: I always need an eye primer because of my mono-lids or all eye shadows will disappear. I did my eyebrows by mixing the two brown eye shadows in the Urban Decay Basics palette. I used the shimmery cream eye shadow as a base and took a taupe shadow and put it in my crease. I used a cream shadow as a brow bone highlight and white as an inner corner highlight to help open my eyes up a bit.

Liner, Blush and Lips: I line my eyes differently than I used to (dramatic cat eye.) Now I do a simple line and slightly wing it up. I find that this doesn’t close off my eyes or make them look smaller like my previous way of lining used to. I picked a pink blush and applied it to just the apples of my cheeks. For lips, I chose a Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment to keep the makeup look girly and natural.

    • Aww! Thank you so effin much! 🙂

It just felt springier to pair the skirt with pink. Plus it was Easter so why not be colorful!

WHAT?! You don’t? I remember they used to be in Sephora and they just disappeared the next time I looked for it. Such a shame. You’ll be surprised by how buttery and super pigmented they are. I know I was! I was like, “Hot damn, I think I went overboard.” A light touch is all you need and it blends out nicely. Are you saying you don’t have an Ulta in Canada either? I hope they ship there. (When our makeup no buy is over of course.)

      • No, we do not have Ulta in Canada! *cries*!
I did finally visit an Ulta when I went to Chicago a few years ago. I love it! I love how they display ALL of one type of makeup (mascaras, liners, lipsticks) regardless of brand.
Yes when my No-Buy is over, this may possibly be one of the items I will finally get my paws on. I really wanted that Mega Pro one that everyone was freaking out over but it sold out SO fast!

      • Ulta is great because they have drugstore + high end make up all in one store. And it includes hair, body, nail polish, etc. It’s a fun store to spend time in, but there isn’t one near me. It’s quite a drive; I rarely go. Let me know when you get the Lorac! We can discuss.

  1. LOVE your bag! Such an adorable outfit – I love the colors! I wore skinny jeans, ankle boots, and a black tunic top for Easter!
