The product:
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment with SPF 15 in Petal
The mission:
Avoid lip treatment waste by literally scooping out the product out of its tube. There are several days worth of uses when you do this trick.
The tools:
You will need a scooping device and storage. I used the Sephora sample mini spatula + pot. Let’s get started!
I don’t know about you guys, but when I finish a lip product to the point where it’s completely flat, I know I loved that color. Just know that there is still an inch or so of product left. I’d rather not see it go to waste.
1. With your spatula, scoop up from inside the tube and place the contents in your pot.
2. Repeat Step 1 until you’ve completely cleaned it out.
3. At this point, I would say to pop it in the microwave to smooth it out, but since this isn’t a lipstick, I’m going to leave it as is.
Now you have a week or so to use up the rest of your beloved lip product. During this time, you could get a back up!
I apologize for the extra, super close-up. What’s a girl to do without a personal photographer?!
Have you ever finished up a lipstick all the way down the bullet? What was it?
Great idea! I love fresh’ lip treatment, and petal is a beautiful tint on you!!

Great color on you! And those are so expensive I would have done the same if I didn’t lose mine! 😩

Thank you Bree! 🙂
Oh nooo! When I lose something, I ask my baby nephew (who talks a little bit) if he knows where it is. I sometimes find the missing item inside a toy or under furniture. 😂🍼

Lol I wish I could use Ava as an excuse but this was before she was born! I haven’t got a new one because they’re so expensive and I just end up losing them!

Very pretty on you! Sadly, I haven’t finished a lipstick in some time (a few have gone bad before I had a chance to finish them, too). I do finish lip balms, though. I stick my pinky in there to get the last bit out 😀

Thank you very much 🙂
I finish lip balms as well and do the same thing especially when it comes to my Nivea one!

Great job! Way to stick it to da man… You can totally get another week or 2 worth of use out of what you scooped out!
I’ve sadly never finished a whole lipstick, only lip balms and I’m too lazy to scoop out the base of the lip balms but I might now that I’m on a No-Buy!

Thank you! This makeup no buy teaches you not to waste especially if you finish up something you love (and can’t get a backup right away.) I’ve finished one whole lipstick before I started blogging. It was the Rimmel moisture renew lipstick in Coral Shimmer. I only know the exact name because it’s going to be featured in a post soon. With the lipbalms, I just use my pinkie to get it out each use. I don’t depot those. Then I’d need more sample jars! Lol

Yes I did but many years ago! It was a baby pink one from Guerlain.. no idea what it was called. Great tip 🙂 I do something similar with cream products in plastic containers but cutting it and using the smaller part as a lid. Loads of product will be left over!

Good idea! And I only know Guerlain for their famous meteorites powder. I wanna try that.

Wooow I’m really impressed!! I haven’t finished a lipstick in my whole life before, still working towards that aim. Haha I am on my way to finishing a lip tint though but somehow because I loved it and wanted to have it for longer, I’m using less of it now The irony. Lol

Thank you! And yes I know what you mean. I’m the same with my favorite blush. I hit pan and was happy and then sad. Lol

Hahaa hitting pan is such an achievement! How long do you take to hit pan with a blush if you use it 5 out of 7 days a week? I’ve never had that before and I wonder if I just use very little blush or theres too much product in my blushes lol

I have no idea! It takes a while. Just choose an everyday blush that you want to git pan on and try to use it the most.

Great advice! I didn’t realize Sephora had the mini-pots and spatula.

Thanks! It’s from when I ask Sephora for samples of makeup, I end up reusing the pots/spatulas.

Such a good idea!! Losing out on the bottom of a product is the worst.

Ha-ha, I’m usually producing hand-made DYI lipsticks by mixing balms and different colors of sticks. It’s so funny and then you get a unique color. 😀
