Makeup Review: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

IMG_2825

Maybelline Fit Me concealer is  my current face concealer that I intend to use up; I am already at the bottom of the tube. The Packaging is a long plastic tube with a black twist-off cap and has a doe foot applicator. The price is $6.49 but may vary by location. The formula is an oil-free and fragrance-free liquid concealer. There isn’t that much variety when it comes to the shade range.

My thoughts on this product are mostly positive. Most people compare this drugstore concealer to the high-end one, NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer. I feel this is a very pigmented, creamy yet lightweight concealer that is awesome on my oily, acne-prone skin. I find that most concealers only have one use, either under your eye area or for blemishes; I can use this product for both and I think that’s amazing. It’s easy to blend. As you can see from the picture above, I have blemishes that I covered up successfully.

I normally would not use this alone like I did in the picture. On a regular day, I would use the concealer on top of my foundation and set it with powder. Here I did not do any of that so you can see how it works by itself on the skin. I only used the warmth of my fingers to easily blend everything out. The only downside I can think of is the concealer will cling onto dry patches. The only way to fix this is to start over, exfoliate, and reapply. Because I know this, I make sure to moisturize my entire face properly, so it’s not a recurring problem for me.

Repurchase? Absolutely! This is the best bang for your buck for a drugstore concealer that performs like a high-end concealer. I can use this all over my face and I don’t need to reach for a second concealer.

  1. I *like* this concealer, but not *love* it. It’s just a tad not pigmented enough for my under eye area. It also tends to disappear faster than other concealers I’ve used.
You’re probably sick of hearing it but I love the Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser concealer for my under eye area. It’s just the best for what I need.
For non-under eye concealing, I’ve been enjoying the Revlon Photoready stick concealer – it’s very creamy and pigmented and lasts well on me.

    • Interesting! Everyone’s skin is different so I understand.
I’m not sick of hearing it. Suggest away! I still need to try Age rewind though.
I don’t think my skin does well with stick concealers, but good that it works for you!

  2. I loved this concealer until it started weirdly oxidizing on me. I’m not sure what changed, but I’d love to be able to use it again.

  3. Wow, that concealer looks really good. I’m going to have to try it out at some point! My go-to at the moment is the Rimmel match perfection illuminating concealer, but sometimes it can draw more attention to blemishes that I’m trying to hide! This looks like a better all-rounder 🙂 also, I should probably tell you that I’ve nominated you for the Liebster award! You can get the details here: https://ladybugsandpugs.wordpress.com/2015/04/27/the-liebster-award/
Thanks and I hope you have an awesome day!

    • Illuminating concealers aren’t good for blemishes, just under eye area or areas that you want to stand out or brighten! Thank you for nominating me. I already did the Liebster award on my blog, but I would love to answer your questions and I’ll leave it in a comment on your post 🙂
