April Empties | 2015

As often as I can, I will display my empty products of the month. These are for the month of April. I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like it is one of the most satisfying feelings to actually finish up a product you bought. It sometimes feels like it was worth the money.  I can’t promise doing this series every month, just because empties are a rare thing to me. I am actually really surprised that I was able to finish up six products to the very last drop. Another thing to know about empties is that I will also let you know if I would repurchase the product, now that I am out of it.

List of Products:

Clinique Moisture Surge – Rave review – I have loved Clinique for years because of my sensitive, acne-prone skin in need of an oil-free moisturizer. This beloved product was featured in both my daytime and nighttime routine. This is very potent so a little goes a long way. I have this huge pot and finished it up in a year or so.

Repurchase? Yes, I love every Clinique skincare item I’ve tried, especially their moisturizers.

Tarte Maracuja Oil – Unfortunately, I can’t use this on my face. I either didn’t see a difference or it broke me out. I do love to use this oil by mixing it into any body lotion I feel that is not moisturizing enough. I especially loved using this oil during the winter time when my skin was extremely dry.

Repurchase? I already have a back up given to me by my friend!

Fresh SugarShade: Petal – I love this shade because it is so pretty and natural on the lips. I ended up using this all up and put the rest of the product that was in the bullet into a pot. It felt very moisturizing and soft when applied. I understand that some people do not like this because it breaks off easily, but I have not had a problem with it breaking off. Don’t be too rough! I fell in love with this formula ever since Sephora gave it as a birthday present. The best birthday present from Sephora so far!

Repurchase? Yes, but I would like for it to be in a set of colors. I would love to try all the colors!

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Rough Scrub – Review – All of their scrubs smell so good. This is the best scrub to have if your skin is dry. I believe because it is Argan Oil, there are more benefits for your skin in terms of moisture. It has a different texture from the regular scrubs I have tried. It’s not creamy like the coconut scrub. It’s not grainy like the shea scrub. It’s in between, jelly yet rough. I enjoyed it.

Repurchase? No, since we are approaching summer months, I would not need such a moisturizing product. Maybe next winter, I would consider getting it again. I love to try all their body scrubs.

Jo Malone Body and Hand Wash – Scent: English Pear & Freesia – Review – This little bottle lasted a long time and has a great lather. The scent fills your shower and it feels so luxurious.

Repurchase? No, I was lucky enough to win a beauty basket that had a Jo Malone Set which included this product. It’s way too expensive for a body wash, but I did enjoy it a lot!

Alex and Ani Scent 7 Soap – I liked how it was exfoliating and moisturizing at the same time. Created with shea butter and coconut oil, the soap bar had a sweet scent mixed with floral undertones.

Repurchase? No, this huge bar of soap barely lasted a month! It was shocking how fast it disappeared.

Have you tried any of my empties? What did you think about them?

  1. I love the Body Shop Argan oil body moisturizer and I am so dry I would it use it all year around. I bought but only used a sample of the Clinque Moisture surge and I cant wait to use it. Glad to see you have empties this month. Keep it up.

  2. I love the Clinique Moisture Surge too! It`s amazingly lightweight yet very effective hydration – well done, Clinique!
How long IS a bar of soap supposed to last? I always wondered. There should be a study.
Nice empties! Again, your post reminds me I need to do mine. 🙂

    • A little goes a long way with Clinique. I truly believe it is worth every penny. I mean, I used that bar of soap and under a month, POOF it was gone! I think every time I used the bar, I could visibly see the size go down. Is that good bc it’s natural? Idk. Yay, can’t wait to read your empties post 🙂

  5. These are fun empties, even if some of them weren’t the best. I agree about it being fun trying different shades of fresh Lip Treatment! My favorite is Rose. Is Petal your fav so far?

  6. I will buy the Clinique Moisture Surge when I’m at the shops again! I love your review about them and I should definitely check it out 🙂 Ooooh, Jo Malone body wash sounds pretty awesome but it’s a bummer for the expensive price tag! I got one of their candles but their candles are quite pricey here too.

    • I’m glad my review is pushing you to get a Clinique moisturizer. Lol and everything Jo Malone is expensive but once you find your favorite scent, it is worth it and you’ll have it for a long time since one spritz is all you need! What candle did you get?

  7. I would love to try some Tarte products, so it’s interesting to see your feedback on the oil. I might start with something else and maybe next winter look into purchasing that.. x
