Manicure Monday: Raindrops

Tools needed: Matte polish, Dotting tool, Top Coat

This manicure was a request from the lovely blogger FunLovinTravelers! She wanted to see a manicure with water drops so here is my take on water drop nails. Let’s begin!

Here is my Raindrops manicure in a step-by-step tutorial:

1. Start with a base coat to protect your natural nail bed.
2. Paint the entire nail bed with your base color until it is opaque. (Preferably a matte nail color. If not, paint your nail and add a matte top coat.)

3. Take out your dotting tool of choice and starting in the center, start your dots diagonally. It is easier to space them out evenly if you do this trick.

Here is another angle of the Raindrop nails. The camera doesn’t do it justice! The effect is so unique.

4. I did half of my nail diagonally. Feel free to fill up the entire nail bed.

  1. That colour is gorgeous! What nail varnish do you think is best for not chipping ? That is the one problem that puts me off painting my nails regularly!

  2. Coolest effect ever! When I looked quickly at the picture before going to the post they looked like gels to me! Super creative and I love the contrast of the finishes!

  4. Great color! I saw pineapple nails on Pinterest that were so cute! Or maybe a classic French? I might have missed that if you’ve done it already.
