True Match™ Super Blendable Makeup

The packaging is a silver twist off cap on a small glass bottle. The product pours out of the opening. There is no pump. The price is $10.95 but varies by location. The formula is a liquid foundation that contains little hints of gold shimmer. It is oil-free, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic.

My thoughts

First of all, I hate that there is no pump on this liquid foundation. It doesn’t keep the product completely hygienic. Second of all, the gold shimmers scared me once I bought it and took it out into the daylight; I thought I had made a mistake. Third of all, this is a runny liquid foundation, so things could get messy.

Luckily, I don’t care about all those flaws because the foundation looks natural and gives good coverage for my skin! I could live without a pump. It would be way more convenient to have one, but I hear that the ones in Europe have a pump. Why don’t they bring that nice packaging over to the US?

Color matching is a breeze because they specifically have warm, cool and neutral undertones to choose from. I am in the warm section of course and they tend to cater to yellow undertones. Once you pick your undertone, get ready to pick your shade. I recall matching my skin to the color coded plastic sheets they had and I was surprised to see that it actually worked. The gold shimmers do not show up on the skin. I’m not sure why they are there in the first place, as it would have scared me away from buying it — if only the drugstore lights weren’t blinding me.

I disliked this the first time I put it on. Then I did my Makeup No Buy and decided to give this another chance since it never irritated my skin. I put it on and I was told that my skin looks like my skin but flawless. It’s natural looking and great for everyday wear.

Would I repurchase? Yes, it is easily available in the drugstore, inexpensive, and gives me the flawless natural finish I enjoy.
