As often as I can, I will display my empty products of the month. These are for the month of May. I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like it is one of the most satisfying feelings to actually finish up a product you bought. It sometimes feels like it was worth the money. I can’t promise doing this series every month, just because empties are a rare thing to me. I am actually really surprised that I was able to finish up five products to the very last drop. Another thing to know about empties is that I will also let you know if I would repurchase the product, now that I am out of it.
List of Products:
Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover – I have loved Clinique for years. This makeup remover is specifically for lids, lashes, and lips. To use it, shake well, pour some onto cotton pad, wipe off your eye makeup. This is super gentle and is what I use to remove eye makeup (especially mascara) before I wash off my face makeup at the sink. I just leave the soaked cotton pad on for a few seconds and as the makeup breaks up, I can gently swipe the cotton pad across my eyes without unnecessary tugging.
Repurchase? No, even though I thought this was an effective product, I have found drugstore versions that do exactly the same thing for much less than $18.50 and for more product.
Ole Henriksen ultimate Lift Eye Gel – Review – Out of all this product’s claims, I believe only the cooling/depuffing effect was true for me. It was the only reason I kept using this every day and every night. Pop this in the fridge for an extra cooling boost.
Repurchase? No, it was not moisturizing enough for my liking.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil – Review – At the end of a long day of wearing makeup, this oil cleanser makes you feel like you are at a spa where you can relax and have your face massaged with a lovely oil. It takes a while to get used to putting oil on your face, but you will end up loving it. It removed makeup flawlessly!
Repurchase? As I said in my review, I wouldn’t mind using it as a free sample since it is the same size as the one they sell. I would not, however, go out of my way to purchase this.
Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Nourishing Moisturizer SPF 30 – Review – I keep going back to this SPF. This is probably my second finished bottle. I think the scent is not as overpowering as the other Aveeno SPF I use, which smells exactly like sunscreen. It’s not greasy and protects my skin. I have noticed that my acne scars have lightened up due to this SPF.
Repurchase? YES. I miss it already!
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula – Review – I love this lotion because it is so moisturizing and I find that my razor burn/cuts have reduced because of slathering this on after shaving. I use this at night since I can see how the smell is very overpowering. I don’t mind it because it makes me smell like cookies.
Repurchase? Yes! Totally worth it. I hardly ever finish up huge bottles of lotion, so finishing it up to the last drop is saying something.
Have you tried any of my empties? What did you think about them?
DHC! I haven’t heard about this one in a while! I used to love that cleansing oil even before cleansing oils became a ting! LOLOL they also have a lovely daily moisturizer! recommend that one as well!

Nicely done! Every time I see your empties, it reminds me to do MINE.
I agree that you don’t need to buy the dept store eye makeup removers anymore, the drugstore ones are just as good and so much cheaper – but it is nice to get them in gwp once in a while!
I’m debating whether to bust out my Alice in Wonderland DHC cleansing oil after I finish my current one or be good and use up stuff in the order in which I acquired them – that would I should be using the Face Shop cleansing oil next…

Thank you! I’m glad my post reminds you to do yours. Empties posts are awesome. Maybe try both and then see which one you’d like to see through to the end! I would like to see the review on Face Shop! Even the name Face Shop sounds cool.
