Manicure Monday: Blue + Yellow Accent Nails

IMG_4571

Tools Needed: none!

I just had the urge to wear a beautiful blue color for summer and Cabana Boy is my go-to blue! This cobalt creme nail polish is flattering on a huge range of skin tones.

Here is a step-by-step tutorial on the Blue + Yellow Accent nails:

1. Start with a base coat to protect your natural nail bed.
2. Paint the entire nail with your base color until it is opaque. For the ring and thumb nail, paint them yellow. For the rest of the nails, paint them blue.
3. With the blue polish, paint any geometric patterns onto the yellow polish for unique accent nails.

4. Once the manicure is done, seal the nail art design with a quick drying top coat. This will make the nail look shiny and the design last longer.

The great thing about this manicure is that there are no rules to the design you choose, as long as you make sure to leave some yellow peeking through.
