OOTD + Matte Friday Night Makeup

Makeup:

I had some samples and you ladies know the struggle of having so many foundation samples. It’s not like us sensitive skin girls can simply try 5 foundation in 5 days. Oh, no. We need weeks at a time in case there is a reaction. On this night I tried out my Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation – Mattifying, Oil Free.

+ Prime time. Then, I used my Naked 3 palette because I’m really feeling the rose golds at the moment. I did dramatic winged liquid eye liner. Then, I did my brows with a brow pencil to keep the look as natural as possible. I curled my little eyelashes and nixed the mascara because I currently don’t have a waterproof formula.

+ For lips, you can’t forget the lip balm, it’s a must. Then, I lined my lips with MLBB lip liner, lined just the bottom and cupid’s bow with the more brown-pink lip liner, and topped it off with a rose pink satin lip pencil. To make the lips look a bit pouty, I only put a blush pink lip gloss on the center of the lips.

+ I find that my makeup doesn’t last long in the summer and I really needed it to last all night so I primed my face with my favorite face primer. For the first time, I tried my mattifying liquid foundation and felt that my face did not need much concealer/powder to set. I did end up concealing my under eye area, but any blemishes were covered my this full coverage foundation. Then, I contoured with a taupe powder and used my cool peach blush which also added a subtle highlight.

My makeup lasted all night! My skin looked flawless, but I did notice that this foundation clings to even the smallest dry patches. That is how mattifying it is. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the matte look of my skin. It’s something my oily face is not used to by any means.

Let me break it down:

Black accessories: Bag – Fendi | Bracelet – gift | Sandals – Steve Madden
Body Chain: Forever 21
Flowy Top: Michael Stars
Tight Bottom: TJ Maxx

It was a very comfortable nighttime look that I would wear again. I was just catching up with friends at the local biergarten and I had a lot of fun — We even ended up in the sand area (with fire pits), so my sandals were perfect for what would have been a big ol’ mess otherwise!

What will you wear this Friday night?
