Five products for the month of September and they’re all full sized! Although this month is skin/body care heavy, let’s see what they are…
List of Products:
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion – Shade: Greed (discontinued) – Primer potions are my jam. This particular shade has lasted me since college and I’m glad it’s done because I would not repurchase. It’s a gold, highly shimmery color that isn’t very forgiving on the eyelids. It’s the reason I always covered it up with eye shadow. I may have used the yellow-gold color a few times alone topped off with liquid liner.
Repurchase? No – can’t and won’t.
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser – Daytime and Nighttime Skin Routine – HOLY GRAIL status. My skin is sensitive, oily, acne-prone — the works. This cleanser is so gentle and actually helps to calm my skin down instead of irritating it like all the other cleansers in the world do to my skin. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it. Always have, always will.
Repurchase? Yes + I have a backup.
Aveeno Positively Nourishing Purifying Body Wash – Seaweed + Oatmeal – This is the second time this body wash has appeared in my empties. That says a lot! It does the job, has a subtle scent, and feels great on the skin. Any body wash that has a nice lather is good in my book.
Repurchase? Yes, I may or may not have extra bottles of this in the body wash stash…
Avene Micellar Lotion – I’ve mentioned my new found love for micellar waters ever since I tried Simple and then Bioderma. I found this micellar water in my stash and decided to give it a go. It’s a lot of product (13.5 fl. oz.) and I have been using this all summer. My skin really appreciated the water-less routine. So if you’re skin is sensitive, try out micellar water as a replacement for a face cleanser and see if it works for you too. It’s the best way to hydrate you skin without adding more oil to oily skin.
Repurchase? No, it was nice, but from the beginning to the end of this bottle, I always compared it to the Simple Micellar water.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Foot Cream – This has the texture of a medicinal cream/gel. That’s something you either get used to or hate. I liked it because it kept my feet moisturized and hydrated. During the winter, I would put some on and immediately put socks on and go to sleep. I would wake up to very soft feet!
Repurchase? Yes, a little goes a long way and this tiny (2 oz.) bottle lasted me a little over a year.
Have you tried any of my empties? What did you think about them?
I’ve only tried a sample of UDPP and I’m just “eh” about it. I find it really drying on my lids. I much prefer Too Faced Shadow Insurance or LORAC Behind the Scenes eye primer.
Hmm I’ve never considered Aveeno for a body wash – I wonder if we even have that here. I think it was fairly recently that we even got the hair products here. I’ll have to look for it!
I’m definitely putting the Avene micellar water to try – I’m curious how it compares to others.

If that Lorac eye primer is in the Lorac Pro Palette, then I have a sample of it!
Aveeno makes great body washes and lotions and SPF. Clearly I’m a fan.
Avene was nice! I just liked Simple and Bioderma better.

I’ll have to try the Avene micellar! I am currently going through three bottles (Simple, YR in the pink bottle, and LRP) and wouldn’t mind trying another…but after I finish at least one of the others.

I do one bottle at a time as my skin is too sensitive to switch it up often. I wish I could though! Avene was nice but I find I favored Simple and Bioderma.

Personally, I’m not a fan of UD PP – I much prefer Too Faced Shadow Insurance. However, Too Faced Shadow Insurance also has a version called Candle Light and it’s like a gold shade too and ugh, I absolutely did not like it.

Golden shades are weird as eye primers. I guess I thought it was cool in college but now I can’t deal with it. Lol

Primer potions seriously last forever! I’ve had mine for way too long and I feel like it’s never going to be used up!
