Drugstore Fall Makeup Look

IMG_6411

Because I am using all drugstore products, I had to find a drugstore eye primer. I opted for the white jumbo pencil that serves as a base to make my colored shadows pop. Sadly this did not last all day so I did have to blend it in with my finger towards the end due to creasing. I used a green shadow on the lids, layered red on top of taupe in the crease, applied brown to the outer third of my eyes, and highlighted my brow bone with a champagne shade. With a dark drown pencil, I smudged it out with a small brush. With a brownish black pencil, I lined two-thirds of my bottom lash line to make my eyes appear bigger and smudged that out as well. I filled in my brows with a taupe kohl pencil and finished off the eyes with a good coat of mascara.

Eyes: Wet n Wild Comfort Zone – light taupe, green, red, brown | CoverGirl Champagne | NYX Milk | NYX Dark Brown | Wet n Wild Kohl Brow | Maybelline Define-a-Line Brownish Black | CoverGirl Clump Crusher

I did my favorite lip combo followed by wine colored lipstick that I toned down with the MLBB lip gloss.

Lips: Rimmel Natural | NYX Natural | Wet n Wild 906D | L’Oreal Blushing Harmony

For my face, I used liquid foundation, concealed underneath my eyes and around my nose, and followed up with a bit of a dusting of powder to set everything in place. I was shocked at how pigmented the bronzing powder came out and ended up having to blend away any harsh lines with my liquid foundation brush.

I curled my hair — you can see me in my headband that I put on before doing my makeup; I remembered to take it off for the next picture!

I hope you enjoyed this drugstore makeup look. I tend to look over drugstore products when it comes to eye shadows because I have other palettes I love playing with so this was a very nice change. It has opened my eyes to start using more and more of my drugstore gems!

What is your favorite drugstore gem?

  1. Wet n Wild Comfort Zone is an awesome palette! I’ve really only played around with the left side of the palette though… them greens are pretty to look at.
Yeah the NYX Jumbo pencil isn’t good for preventing creasing. If you want a good eye lid primer from the drugstore, I highly recommend the Prestige or the Wet n Wild one.
I usually have my hair in a Turbie Twist when I’m doing my makeup, hehe!
LOVE your new hair do with the loose wave in it too! 😀

    • My favorite shades are the two on the right side on top and the two middle shades on the left side. I gotta explore those darker shades more, huh!

Prestige or wet n wild.. I will keep that in mind! And I just saw a review on the ELF one that seemed good as well from the drugstore.

We all have our pre makeup looks with our hair. I used to use a claw to hold my hair up but now I’ve moved onto headbands 🙂

Thank you so much! I really like it with the wave in it. I’m trying to find the best way to go about curling my hair and then I’ll most likely do a tutorial when I’m ready!

      • I’ve tried the ELF primer and it’s good too but what I don’t like is that it’s a wand applicator. I prefer the squeeze tube style. I really love the Nars primer but it’s in a wand applicator so no go.
Looking forward to seeing the new hair do tutorial! 😀

  2. I have a hard time getting cream shadows never lasted on me even with another primer underneath.
I love the look though! And the waves you added to your hair! I need to start experimenting with my haircut!
