Inspo: @cutepolish
Tools Needed: small makeup sponge
This is my first Halloween on this blog so let’s show our festive side and paint on some delicious candy corn onto our nails! Of course you will need white, orange and yellow polishes for this look. Let’s begin!
Here is a step-by-step tutorial on the Candy Corn nails:
1. Paint nails white until they are opaque.
2. With the sponge, paint half of the nail orange.
3. With the sponge again, paint the tip yellow. If you’re brave, freehand paint the tips!
(After some heavy clean up…)
4. Finish the nail design with a fast drying top coat to make it shiny and last longer!
Of course you can do this as an accent nail and paint the rest of your nails either all white, all orange, all yellow, or mix and match! It’s Halloween, after all. Hope you love this manicure as much as I did!
List of Products:
Butter London Nail Foundation Flawless Base Coat
Seche Vite
Julie G White Orchid
ORLY Lemonade
Essie Braziliant
I’d love to see your manicure. If you end up trying this nail look out, show/tag me on Instagram using the hashtag #styledwithjoy
A bonus Halloween manicure is going up for the next post…
Heeee! Well done! Cute and not too crazy. I like the gradation you got from the sponge.

Hehe thank you! The sponge is my new best friend. Makes making straight lines ten times easier.

I used a makeup sponge once for a metallic polish (Essie Penny Talk) that was super streaky. I read that using a sponge to blot it on top will help to even out the streaks and it totally worked! It made it a bit like a brushed chrome but I didn’t mind – it was so good. 😛

Halloween is such a fun time that when people say they don’t dress up, I’m confused as to why they wouldn’t wanna join in. It’s so fun! Thank you! I wanted to post it today but then I had wifi problems. So tomorrow it is 🙂
