Makeup Hack | Get More Out of Eye Primer Packaging

Have you ever noticed the little stopper that keeps your wand or doe foot applicator in place? Sometimes you think your eye primer has either dried out or ran out. Once you remove this little piece of rubber, you’ll discover the secret to getting even more bang for your buck!

Now my example is on a teeny tiny deluxe sample, but apparently they have rubber stoppers on these too.

I first learned to do this with my Urban Decay Primer Potion. Due to the odd potion shape of that packaging, it made it extremely difficult to get product out of the wide sides.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Locate your rubber stopper. (Do you know its proper name? Do I sound silly?)
  2. With a pair of tweezers, slowly and carefully lift the rubber from all around.
  3. Repeat Step 2 until it is completely loosened.
  4. Put your cap back on and watch how much new product appears on the applicator again!

Easy, huh?! Takes a little work and patience, but it is totally worth it. I was literally about to toss my Benefit Stay Don’t Stray in the garbage because it wasn’t working at all. Now it’s like I have a few weeks worth of applications left!

Have you ever tried this makeup hack?
