#ThrowbackThursday – Recipe | S’mores Dip

This picture was taken in 2014 and I still make this when I really have a craving for s’mores (with a twist!)
Inspo: Byron Talbott

A s’more is basically a traditional campfire treat where two pieces of graham cracker sandwich a fire roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate. We’re going to make the same thing but make it into a dip instead.

What you’ll need…

8 pieces (pips) Hershey’s milk chocolate bar
mini marshmallows
graham crackers

How to make it…

  1. In a heat safe container or ramekin, melt chocolate in microwave for 10-20 seconds. Mix until it is soft, melted, and glossy.
  2. Top chocolate layer with mini marshmallows until you cannot see any chocolate.
  3. Bake in a 500 degree oven for 5 minutes (Temperatures and time may vary with different ovens; I was using a toaster oven that is weaker than a regular oven.) until the marshmallows are golden brown.
  4. Break up some graham crackers and serve immediately!

This is a rich dessert/snack that really satisfies the biggest sweet tooth. This is even better than a s’more in my opinion because I don’t need a fire or the messiness of a huge melted marshmallow all over my hand. I hate wasting that way! Here the s’more dip is contained in a ramekin for a fun treat.

Will you try out this awesome take on S’mores?
