Because I liked my first colored smokey eye, I decided to go with what my blogger friends suggested; Green was the winner!
+ I primed my eyes with an eye primer, a white base to make the color pop, and a green base to make the green pop! I lined my eyes with a glittery hunter green eyeliner pencil and smudged it out. I patted the inner two-thirds of my lids with an intense green shimmer eye shadow, leaving the outer-third with a darker more intense green shadow. I blended out the greens in the crease with a matte camel color and blended it even more in the lower crease with a medium matte brown; I highlighted with a shimmery nude pink shade. I lined my lower lashes with the eye liner and smudged it out with my crease color, leaving the look more smokey than harsh. For defined brows, I used my favorite brow pencil.
Eyes: MAC Humid | Sleek Storm Palette | MAC Paint Pot Greenstroke | NYX Milk | Benefit Stay Don’t Stray | ABH Brow Wiz | Urban Decay Covet
+ For lips, I applied lip balm. I noticed that I haven’t been lining my lips as often! I just went straight to the bullet and applied the matte pink lipstick.
Lips: Rimmel Kate 101
+ For my face, I used the beauty blender to apply my liquid foundation and concealer. I powdered my under eye area and places that had concealer. Then, I went in with a more dramatic contour with a very pigmented bronzer and used a light hand with the satin pink blush.
Face: L’Oreal True Match Foundation | Hourglass Primer | Maybelline Dream Matte Powder | Collection Concealer | ELF Bronzing Powder – St. Lucia | MAC Well Dressed
Even though this is a smokey eye, the green complemented my eyes and wasn’t too harsh or dramatic to wear for an early dinner out.
What’s another good color for a fun smokey eye?
Green is one of my favorites but I always forget about it so it’s a totally underutilized color in my opinion. Beautifully done and perfectly blended! Also, that lip color on you is total perfection!

I feel the same way about green. I love it but don’t use it as much as I’d like! Thank you so much 🙂

Cute! I love a smoky eye – usually I do purple but you’ve already done that! How about something festive, with gold?

You have the Sleek Storm palette! It’s been an item on my wish list for ages but I’ve never managed to place an order for Sleek items – they end up being so expensive after exchange and shipping. Love the smokey green eye look! Another colour that’d be nice on you is navy smokey.

I will have to see if I have any navy shades in any of my eyeshadow palettes! Hmmm! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂

Urban decay was my first green eyeliner in Covet. I still have and use it but I think they discontinued it and replaced it with another similar green.
