Here is the Jouer Bronzer worn in the following blog posts: (More dramatic application) Nighttime Makeup Tutorial: Shocking Coral | (More natural application) Two Tone Smokey Eye
The packaging is a long dark compact with a mirror that snaps closed; this packaging is meant to literally connect to other bronzers, blushes or anything that comes in a similar compact from the Jouer brand. The price is $30.00. The formula is a mattifying powder bronzer in the color described as “matte honey.”
With the powerful properties of Gingko Biloba Leaf Extract and Aloe Vera, this mattifying bronzer naturally hydrates the skin while helping to eliminate unwanted shine. Ideal for contouring and warming up the skin tone, this bronzer contains Vitamins A & E to help improve skin’s texture while creating a smooth, bronzed finish. 0.25 oz / 7 g
My thoughts
If you know me, I’m perfectly fine with having NYC Sunny Bronzer in my collection because it’s a great terracotta shade and warms up the complexion in a natural way. I thought NYC Sunny was all I needed in my life, until I bought this Jouer Sunswept Bronzer. It’s not the kind of bronzer I’d apply for everyday use because it’s a couple shades darker than Sunny, so I do get less use out of it.
However, when I do my makeup to go out at night with my friends, I tend to always reach for this bronzer due to how pigmented and smooth it applies. I feel like it lasts for a very long time while not disturbing the rest of the make up on my face. I have never seen it get blotchy when it fades, and my skin is in no way irritated by it. Basically depending on if I have a light or heavy hand with application, this bronzer can be worn night and day.
Top: (L) Notice the grooves on the sides that connect the products together (R) | Bottom: (L) Open one or both compacts at the same time (R) They also connect via both bottoms of the compacts as well.
Having the option to connect your Jouer products together is a pretty unique idea. The first time I connected the bronzer with the blush, I was so excited because it was like I made my own blush/bronzer duo. Not only can you connect blushes, but you can also connect eye shadows as well and make an entire face palette out your Jouer collection.
I believe that Sunswept is their most popular bronzer because it’s the honey bronze shade that warms up the face without ever looking orange, just natural.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I don’t see myself hitting pan anytime soon, but if I ever finish this up, I would repurchase because it’s the bronzer I reach for when I want my face to be a little more defined but still matte.
That looks so warm and pretty! I’d like to try Jouer sometime; the click-together cases are cute.

The interlocking cases are fun to play with. Just by doing this review, I discovered the stacking option.

I have this bronzer and I haven’t tried it. Sometimes I forget what I have. I need to pull this out!

Yes girl! I was the same way. It took me a while to use it and when I used it, it was different from Sunny in the greatest way possible. I’m currently wearing it!

Looks a but dark for me but love the shape of the packaging. It looks like it would be so easy to swipe a brush back and forth!

It really is! It applies smoothly. Love it. I think they have another shade. Not sure if it’s still available.
