I have quite a few makeup favorites as I have been wearing makeup for half of November!
Makeup:
Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette – With five matte shadows and one demi-matte, Naked 2 (worn here) is my absolute favorite cool toned crease color. This palette was the only eye shadow I needed when I went away for vacation; I was able to do subtle looks for daytime and darken up the look for nighttime. I initially thought that this palette was boring just by looking at it, until I realized that this is the perfect palette for everyday looks and I found myself reaching for it more than my “fun” palettes.
Jouer Mineral Powder Blush – Shade: Blossom – This soft peach pink blush is what is connected to my Jouer Suntan bronzer. Ever since I connected the separate compacts, I have been using the blush more and more. I’m glad for this rediscovery because it is also convenient to have a duo blush/bronzer all in one place. In a future post, I will show what this looks like on the skin.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil – Shade: Underground – This pencil is soft enough to place on the lid for a subtle smokey effect. It’s easy to blend out, as long as you do it quickly because this product does set fast. That’s what makes it so great. It won’t budge/crease. The color is a chocolate brown with a silver shimmer.
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer – Whenever I apply powder foundations, I find that my skin always needs a face primer. It makes the makeup last longer and have a smoother appearance. I used to use this only for special occasions, but then, I found out that the product is paraben-free, and the product I was using was beginning to expire. It started to ball up on the skin. Lesson learned: Use this product up — which as you can tell from the picture, I’m about to!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – Review – I’ve been really enjoying using this concealer especially for my under eye area. Although, this covers up blemishes nicely as well. I have not experienced creasing or fading. Or if it fades at all, it fades naturally.
Tarte Amazonian clay full cover airbrush foundation – Tip: Get shade-matched. The shade descriptions aren’t accurate, and I probably would have gotten a shade that is way too dark for my skin. When you do get your perfect match, this powder foundation can be used to set your makeup or can be built up to full coverage for a flawless look. I love it because it looks like my skin but better. (MSBB?)
Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil – Review – Because of this handy cuticle oil, I have had no problems with my cuticles being dry or peeling. I use this every night. I also use this to soften the cuticles and then push them back gently. Smells great as well!
These are the favorites I had for the month of November. Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed my Favorites post. Have you tried any of my favorites? What did you think of them?
We can definitely see what shade you’ve been enjoying in the Urban Decay palette 😀

Of course. Naked 2 is the best cool toned crease color for me and I usually tend to gravitate towards warm shades.

I’ve been curious about that Tarte foundation. I had a play around with the BB cream and to my dismay, it contains shimmer in it! I looked ok in the store but I went outside and it was glitter city! Boo. I like MSBB type foundations for sure! 🙂
Every time I see Jouer on your blog I get a tinge of envy. 😛

Tarte is great. I had no idea until youtubers were raving about their products, especially blushes. I do want to try their liquid foundation as long as it is oil-free. Jouer is a really good brand and I owe it all to the former Missglamorazzi for it!

Underground e/l sounds gorg. Gotta check that out!

It’s really nice and pigmented. As long as the product is warmed up a bit then it glides on and doesn’t tug at your eyelids too much. Its staying power is impressive as well!

Ive been wanting to try the hourglass primer! I rarely use face primers (I know ,horrible right) unless Im having a party to attend to or dinner… Im scared it’ll clump up or ill have to dump it before even getting many uses out of it..and for the price of hourglass it’ll be a waste…
I love the urban decay pallete and I always reach for it too

I love the hourglass primer but it’s expensive. It works best for my skin though! I’m going to try other primers first before repurchasing hourglass. At least there is an $18 baby version which still has a lot of product in it.

I think I’ve seen cream blushes if I’m not mistaken. That or maybe some lippies. Anything you recommend?

Bronzers and blushes are nice and they are known for their matte moisture tint and luminous one.

Okay, I’ll keep those in mind but I have a list that grows by the minute, lol. I’m a sucker for pretty blushes too.

Oh yea! 🙂 I’m running out of mine so I have to dig in my stash and try a new face primer. Ahhh so scary. Eventually I am repurchasing Hourglass now that my no buy is OVAAAA

I really wanted to try the Lasting Perfection concealer but alas, dark skin problems at the drugstore…. 😦

They need to expand their selection! A lot of makeup brands do. Especially at the drugstore. I’m just lucky because I’m always in the middle. Like if I see the words “natural beige” I’m most likely that lol
