Skincare Review | Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer

Fall is the season of many changes. The colors of the leaves change, it gets cooler, and the clothes are more fashionable. One thing that also changes is how our skin reacts to these changes. You can call this the transition from Summer to Fall. Ever since I took good care of my skin, I noticed that the moisture levels (Who hates the word “moist”?!) differ from summer to fall. This is one of the confusing times for my skin because it’s oily ( + sensitive + acne prone), but needs more hydration than it did in the warmer months.

Price: $8.00 (varies by location, I got it for $4.99) for 4.2 fl. oz.

Packaging: Green and white flip top opening where you can squeeze the product out

Formula: Rich, white, watery lotion consistency

Simple Rich Moisturizer was the perfect transition moisturizer for my skin. It is “rich” enough to add the perfect amount of hydration to the skin without looking or feeling greasy. I first started out by using this product only at nighttime while still using my beloved Clinique gel during the daytime. And when the days got even colder and drier, I completely switched over to Simple for both day and night.

This is found at the drugstore and I actually found it on sale at TJ Maxx, so it was even more inexpensive.

The moisturizer contains “Pro-Vitamin B5 known to help restore, soften and smooth” and “Chamomile known to help gently soften and soothe; Glycerin hydrates and nourishes; Geranium”

  • No dyes
  • No artificial perfumes
  • No harsh irritants to upset skin
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic

Just looking at this list, oil-free products are what I search for most.

I think this is a great moisturizer for those lost months of needing to up the level of moisture for your skin but not fully diving into using a thick cream right away. I do not think it is exactly rich enough to carry me through the winter time, as I have already switched out to another Clinique product that is made for dry skin. I was able to use it for about three months and had no problems. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a moisturizer to take you from warmer months into cooler months but do not necessarily need a load of hydration during that short period of time.

  1. MOIST MOIST MOIST MOIST MOIST! 😉
This looks promising… I don’t know what it is but I’m not too interested in too Simple skincare (except for that micellar water) – I feel like they would be watered down for some odd reason.
