Interview Outfits should always be professional and polished, no matter what the job. Be sure to show your personality through the outfit you choose. My rule of thumb is that it’s better to be overdressed than under.
Blazer: Zara | Top: Wells Grace | Pants: Matty M | Black Pumps: Karen Scott | Accessories: Stud Earrings – gift, Bracelet: Alex and Ani
The white blazer is what makes this entire outfit. It stands out, it’s chic and fits me the way it should. Keep in mind to cover up – Watch what top you put inside the blazer and make sure it is high enough. It only made sense to me to pair everything with black pants and pumps since the top half had the brightness and maroon color.
I kept my makeup completely simple. I just wanted to look like a better version of myself. I managed to fix my hair, making sure the ends were curled in a bit. Don’t you just love lobs?
If you’re going on interviews, Good luck!
What did you wear to your last interview?
Goodness I haven’t had an interview in so long I can’t even remember! I do recall I opted for a long pencil skirt and some sort of blouse but that is it. I was hired and I’ve been working there for almost 7 years so I guess it was OK lol π You look beautiful and chic as hell π

Love love love! It’s polished and modern and I love black and white together!! The last time I had an interview I wore a black suit and a pink button up! Always better to be overdressed! π

Totally agree. Overdressed is always better, but that always depends too! Just gotta read the job for a better gauge of what to wear. I almost never do black and white together, so to do it for a professional setting felt great! Thank you!

You look great! It’s a great tip about letting your personality shine through even when dressed up. I always wear a bit of COLOUR. I remember my last interview outfit well – it’s one of my favourites: charcoal suit with a cobalt blue (think Sally Hansen Pacific Blue) top underneath. I got the job! (I’d like to think my qualifications helped, not just the outfit lol).

Thank you so much! I can definitely imagine the blue now that you said Pacific Blue. That sounds like a great professional outfit as well π And of course, the outfit is bonus points haha

I love, love the hair! I did similar pants as you did for my last interview (which was…oh, over 12 yrs ago). It was a spur of the moment (“can you come in today?!”) and I only had a skirt suit. However, it was snowing and very cold out, and I had a long commute to make, so I opted for slim pants and a sweater, all black. It was a casual job environment; I got the job π

Thank you so much! Spur of the moment interviews are actually the ones I like. No time to be nervous or overthink it! Just do it! Awesome job story! I need more black outfits in my life. I have SO. Much. color!

It was really unusual for me, since I normally wear a lot of color, too! Guess I was trying to hide the “real me”? π

I wore black slacks and a long sleeve shirt, plus a coat because it was winter time. Love your outfit Joy.
