February + March Empties | 2016

For the months of February + March, I finished up 10 products including some of my Project Focus 10 products.

List of Products:

Benefit Stay Don’t Stray – Great eye shadow primer for oily, crease-prone eyelids. I had never tried a different eye primer since I had a stash of Urban Decay Primer Potion, but this product is just as good!

Repurchase? Yes, it worked just as well as the UDPP.

Jouer Lip Enhancer Lip Balm – I enjoyed this lip balm for nighttime/daytime. If you like lip gloss-like lip balms, then this is for you. It claims that it will make your lips look thicker over time, which I don’t believe, but I saw it the first couple of times I applied it; Nothing dramatic. It helps to moisturize while adding a light tint to the lips.

Repurchase? Yes

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Review – This mascara had a bit of hype behind it, so I knew it had to be good in either the lengthening or the thickening department. I like how it held my curl without clumping my lashes together.

Repurchase? Yes

Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids – Although it works well for the most part, the size and price is not worth it since there are comparable drugstore versions of this eye makeup removing formula. You shake the two parts up and then apply it to your lid with a cotton pad. It also leaves an annoying, greasy film behind.

Repurchase? No

Clean and Clear Oil-Absorbing Sheets – This is a staple in my bag because wherever I go, oily skin is sure to follow, unfortunately! These work so well, and this is the brand I started out with many years ago. I find that the blue plastic-y sheets are the most effective for my oil machine of a face.

Repurchase? Yes

Peppermint mints – For my lifestyle empty, this is already a two-peat!

Repurchase? Yes

Batiste Travel Size in Original – Batiste Lover – The travel size has become so handy during my trips. If anything, I think that the spray on these little guys is stronger than on the original sized cans.

Repurchase? Yes

Batiste in Hint of Color – Batiste Lover – This hint of color in brown helped with the oiliness of my hair, but I was not a fan of the color transferring onto my fingers.

Repurchase? No

Aveeno Body Wash – This body wash makes my skin so smooth and hydrated that I barely used any lotion even during the cold winter months.

Repurchase? Yes

St. Ive’s Apricot Scrub – I know this is for the face, but it is much too rough for my sensitive skin. Instead, I use this as a body scrub and it’s the perfect rough texture to reveal smooth skin.

Repurchase? Yes

Have you tried any of my empties? What did you think about them?

  1. I’ve tried the clinique remover and although I love how it removes makeup instantly I also HATE the greasy film it leaves behind .. makes you feel dirty lol. Plus like you mentioned there are way better drugstore removers 👍I’ve also tried the blotting sheets .. I used to use them religiously but I just stopped idk why! I need to repurchase them! Although I have a few eye primers already next on my list are both from benefit lol, the air patrol one and the one you mentioned 🙂

  2. I love Aveeno products as they source natural ingredients in their products and so, it is quite gentle to you skin which one could trust for and then, the tarte mascara is one such wonder product that I have always wanted to own.
