Manicure Monday: Barely There

IMG_5831

Here is a swatch of Essie Fiji. I read for Fall, the nail look everyone is going for is barely there nails. They can even be buffed and look healthy; just add a sheer color on top and you’re good to go. Because I love color too much to do completely bare nails, I decided to go for a color I rarely use and know others love. Here is a swatch of Essie Fiji, a creamy pale pink.

1. Start with a base coat to protect your natural nail bed.

2. Paint all nails pink until they are opaque.

3. Once the manicure is done, seal the nail polish with a quick drying top coat. This will make the nail look shiny and last longer.

I finally ran out of Butter London Top Coat and was given a brand new Seche Vite! I can’t remember the last time I used this glorious top coat, but it brought back memories of lovely manicures. I’m so happy to have it back in my life again. It’s life changing because you can paint your nails, slap Seche Vite on and within 5 minutes, you can go about your day and your nails will look beautiful and be just fine.

  1. Barely there nails are ALWAYS appropriate, regardless of the season! 😀
I don’t have Essie Fiji but I have 193 other pale pinks haha! 😛 A fast drying shiny top coat is a must for me – I can’t imagine doing my nails with non-fast drying top coats anymore.
