What you need: tall (Christmas) mug, water, and the products with tube packaging you want to save
Sometimes you use a product so much that the the creamy formula ends up on the sides of the tube where your doe-foot applicator just can’t reach. This is a quick and easy fix. I have done this a couple of times to my products (both concealers and lip glosses) and I end up getting so much more use out of them:
1. Take a mug full of water and heat it in the microwave for a 45 seconds- 1 minute. The taller the mug, the better!
2. Make sure the water is not boiling.
3. Throw in 3-4 tubes at a time.
4. Wait 10-15 minutes.
5. You should be left with products that are good as new. The lip glosses may look full or the tube is see-through enough for you to see where the product ends and begins.
This has not changed the formula of my products and this ensures that I use my concealer to the very last drop!
Very clever 🙂 If only there was a way to do this with nail polish, mine always dries up!!

PBI – you get just put in nail polish thinner (NOT nail polish remover) and shake up the bottle to mix. The polish to be like new! I use the nail polish thinner from Sally Beauty Supply:

It’s less than $5 and a bottle has lasted me years!

StashMatters has a good response for this! I haven’t tried them myself because I haven’t had the need.

Great tip! I’ve also wanted to try reviving some of my gel liners or Maybelline Color Tattoos by zapping them in the microwave. Have you tried that?
PS. Cute Christmas mug!

I’m not sure if it works on all gel liners, I feel like I tried that on a MAC blacktrack and it was OLD. And it did not work for the whole thing, just the top.

Clever girl!! I need to find a way to rescue a smashed powder eyeshadow, myself. (Have heard of some methods for repressing with alcohol…)

Yes! I was just about to say to use alcohol. I have never done powders myself, just cream shadows and paint pots that have dried up, I was able to revive.

That is good to know. I have always avoided buying cream shadows, etc., for that reason.
