I just did this wavy hair routine that never fails and I sprayed it beforehand with heat protectant and afterwards with Elnett hairspray.
Makeup:
Start off by priming your eye lids. For extra crease proof power, apply a paint pot or cream shadow. This will make your eyeshadow pop and stay on even longer. I chose a caramel crease color, soft champagne lid color, outer V shimmery taupe color, and a soft yellow beige highlight. I lined my eyes first with black eyeshadow and traced over it with liquid eye liner. This ensures that I make less mistakes and that the color applies in a richer appearance rather than just a harsh black line. I did my eye brows with both a brow mousse and a pencil to fill in the spaces that the mousse could not reach. I finished off the eyes by curling my tiny lashes and giving myself a good two coats of mascara.
Eyes: Benefit Stay Don’t Stray | MAC Soft Ochre | MAC MSF | Too Faced Boudoir Eyes | Naked 2 | MAC Rice Paper | Kat Von D Trooper | CG Clump Crusher | ABH Brow Wiz | Blinc Brow Mousse
For lips, never forget to apply lip balm. I lined my lips with MLBB shade followed by a brownie-pink liner only on the bottom to even out my lips and on the top where my cupid’s bow is. Then, I topped that off with a warm nude pink lipstick.
Lips: Rimmel Natural | NYX Natural | MAC Way to Love
I primed my face so that my makeup could last through all the dancing. I applied my liquid foundation, followed by my salmon concealer to cancel out any dark circles. I needed it because I was so excited at midnight to open one present that I slept late and woke up early at 6AM. I topped the salmon concealer with regular concealer, powdered my entire face and continued with contour, bronzer, and blush.
Face: Hourglass Primer | Chanel Foundation | Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer | MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer | Collection Concealer | MAC Blot Powder | NYX Taupe | MAC Spaced Out
I’m really happy with the makeup look I had for my birthday. I needed a more toned down look so it wouldn’t look ridiculous as I wear bright orange. Can you imagine this brown smokey eye with this orange dress? My sister stopped me just in time and told me to switch my makeup to something simpler, and I’m glad she did!
Next up… the birthday outfit!
How do you do your makeup for special occasions?
Happy Belated Bday!!! ๐

I’ve never tried the black eyeshadow under black eyeliner trick, but it’s genius. Can’t wait to try that!

Thank you for stopping by! Yes, I’ve been loving this trick as I am sooo bad when it comes to dramatic wings. This helps me stay as even as possible and also looks softer in a way. Richer too.
