October Empties | 2015

Empties are the best — There’s quite a mix of products in my empties for the month of October. Let’s take a look!

List of Products:
IMG_6547blendercleanser® solid®
Review – This product looks like it’s just for those with the beauty blender sponge, but don’t be fooled because this is the best makeup brush cleanser I have ever used. I have tried baby shampoo and brush shampoo, but this is by far the easiest and quickest way to clean brushes.

Repurchase? Yes, this is my favorite way to wash my brushes. I believe it cuts half the time off cleaning brushes with a shampoo.

IMG_6548Burt’s Bees Lip Balm  This came in a gift set and I used this for a couple of months straight, all throughout the summer and the beginning of fall. It lasts quite a while and delivers the right amount of moisture for the summertime. I do not think it is moisturizing enough for the winter months, unless you’re constantly reapplying it.

Purchase? No, I need something better for moisture in the colder months.

Butter London Hardwear P.D. Quick Top Coat Review – Top coats are important for my nail art designs because it’s what blends the nail art into a beautifully flattened out image on the surface of the nail bed. I’ve used this top coat since the birth of my blog. It lasts past 8+ months and was a very nice, not overly shiny top coat. I do wish the brush reached the bottom of the bottle. Sometimes, I would have to screw it on closed to open it up and do that for each painted nail.

Repurchase? I’m happy with my current top coat and will not repurchase this at this time. But in the future, yes.

Pantene Nature Fusion Conditioner – Pantene has one of those conditioners that makes my hair feel and look so soft and shiny; Using up this bottle gave me results that were no different. I don’t have a favorite conditioner yet, but I liked that the ends of my hair felt conditioned and (when I had long hair) they were less prone to split ends.

Repurchase? Yes

IMG_6546AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Body Wash – So some of you may know I have a thing for Aveeno, right? (Proof: Here, Here, and Here) Here comes a rave review about this body wash year-round but especially for wintertime… This body wash is perfect for sensitive skin in the wintertime. It barely has a fragrance but when you do get a whiff of it, it is a lovely, subtle sweet scent. This has never irritated me in any way and when I feel like I have dry skin, this helps to lock in the moisture. I love this body wash for the colder months when my skin tends to get drier.

Repurchase? Umm… I’m already on my second bottle.

Have you tried any of my October empties?

  1. I have that Butter London topcoat but it doesn’t stand out to me as anything special. I also have the base coat – again, it’s nice but nothing amazing – I do like that the base coat is a nudey colour to blank out the nail bed.
Yeah I’m not a fan of the Burts Bee lip balms either – they’re not that moisturizing! And that’s their claim to fame?
I need to get my empties photographed… be warned, I’ve got a TON this month for some reason! 😛 Yay, No Buy!

    • Burt’s Bees is just okay so far. I need heavy duty lip balms.

The BB solid one is KING.

I really want to try Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap. I found one in TJMaxx but it was rose scented and I wanted a different one.
