Five Favorite Spring Blushes

Hello Spring! It’s an exciting time to whip out the brighter pinky/peach blushes, the kind of blushes that liven up the face. I just wanted to show you the ones I will be wearing the most this season. These are my top five favorite Spring Blushes. Keep reading for swatches. Let’s get started!

MAC Spaced Out (rave review) – Sheertone Shimmer Blush – This is my go-to blush all year round. I think it looks great on my skintone. It adds just enough color to liven up my complexion, yet still look more on the natural side. There is a subtle shimmer in the blush that you can see in the pan but is not completely visible on the skin. It is the perfect balance of peachy tones to pink tones. I love it. Every time I use this blush, I am always satisfied with my makeup look.

NYX Peach – Pressed Powder Blush – This blush is very long wearing and is the brightest out of the blushes; It is also the pinkest blush out of the five. I am all about livening up the complexion with a smooth powder blush. I would suggest making this blush the standout makeup product on your face, keeping everything else neutral. I’m always impressed by the quality of this drugstore blush due to its pigmentation and lasting power.

Milani Luminoso – Baked Powder Blush – This blush screams Spring/Summer. It is a beautifully smooth, baked blush. You can build up the color from sheer to bright in seconds. I used this blush for years. Again, as I said with the NYX blushes, I am impressed with the quality of this drugstore blush. It ends up being one of my most reached for blushes during this time of year. It is peachy pink with gold flecks that don’t show up too much on the skin, only slightly. It is intended to replace a highlighter and blush as one product.

Tarte in Blissful – Amazonian Clay Blush – The staying power on this blush is pretty amazing. Usually blush tends to fade on me after an hour or two due to my oily skin, but this one stays on for hours. I never have to touch up and I never have to add more. This blush is pigmented, only put a little bit on your blush brush and blend it out. It is easy to go overboard with this blush due to its pigmentation. Do not, however, get the blush wet. I have done this and it does not feel like the same powdery blush I used to have. I may have changed the formula on it.

MAC Springsheen – Sheertone Shimmer Blush – Spring is in the name! This blush is going more towards the burnt orange with golden shimmer throughout. It is the most pigmented of the five and is still a smooth powder. As with the NYX blush, I tend to pair this blush with the neutral look overall. The blush can overwhelm the face if it is paired with bright eye shadow and/or lipstick.

  1. OMG, your MAC & NYX blush pan porn! *faints*
That Milani Luminoso blush is my top 5 blush of ALL time.
I really need to pick up more NYX blushes (in 2016) – I have about 5 or 6 of them (no Peach, unfortunately) and they’re all fantastic. But, I have this weird idiosyncrasy where I prefer blushes that are in round pans. I know I know, I have OCD. Just this preference I have.

      • Nope, not a fan of Nars Orgasm. I had 2 of them from sets and gave them away.
Although, I do own a couple of other Nars blushes (Madly and Luster) – but they’re not my favourites.
From memory, I own these NYX blushes: Mocha (NOT mocha coloured at all… it’s a mid tone pink – are NYX colour naming people colourblind?), Taupe, Raisin, Dusty Rose, Angel…
I really want the shade called “Bourgeious Pig” LOL.

  2. Thank you for posting this! Blush is the one make up product that I’m a little scared of using, always worried it will be too strong of a colour. Milani Luminoso looks gorgeous 🙂

  3. I just ordered a NYX blush in Dusty Rose yesterday! I’ve heard so much good stuff about their blushes. I’m loving my 3CE Blush in Love Filter though, it’s been my everyday blush ever since I got it lol
